Although there is not a single path that works for everyone, the following is typical of how drum lines have been organized in schools:
Let us know you're interested in a drumline. We can put you in touch with a local dealer.
Find out how much it will cost to acquire equipment. You'll be surprised how affordable it can be!
Decide where the funds are coming from - School music budget, student fees, fund raising, etc.
If you're not a drumline person, we can help find a local clinician or instructor to get you set up.
Create an in-school flyer to communicate this new activity to students and teachers.
Have an initial, informal meeting of students who are interested.
Assign students to snare, tenor, bass or cymbals.
Based on the number of students that have auditioned and the quote you got earlier, work with your dealer to acquire the necessary equipment.
Set up a rehearsal schedule, possibly with the help of the local instructor, and start drumming!
